Escape from Alcatraz (The Pointer version):
The warden thought she had foiled all my attempts to escape from Alcatraz. The last fortification involved a new row of wire a long the top of the composite corner - my favourite escape route. She even thought it was funny when I bonked my head a few times trying to jump over the fence because she angled this new wire INWARDS - of all the nasty tricks. Never fear they don't call me Hiddencreek's Unsinkable Molly for nothing!!!
My trusty side kick, Mark and I just waited patiently for the next opportunity to present itself. Our patience was finally rewarded in the form of snow, yes that blessed white stuff. The recent ice storm put the finishing touches on our plan since now we could walk on top of the stuff. Like a flash the two of us were over the fence and off on our adventure.
The warden was watching from her observatory and dashed to put on her coat and boots over her PJ - yes another free show for the neighbours : ) She tried to head us off at the pass by heading out the front door. Alas we had a good head start and were already through one neighbour's yard and on to the next. The chase ensued from the backyard to the front and we were making great progress when out of nowhere reinforcements appeared - our plan was foiled again as that double crossing neighbour nabbed us and handed us back over to the warden.
Later that same day Mark, my trusty side kick and I watch as fifty feet of fence was further fortified with snow fencing raising the fence height another three feet. Hmmmm that jump grid work we have been doing in agility should come in handy now. Off to plan the next great escape from Alcatraz......
